Partner problems

Hi, I just wanted to ask what’s normal for everyone now with their partners, since their baby. My partner and I are on holiday atm. I was super excited to have some time together, especially also to have sex for the first time in ages! However, he forgot to pack condoms. Thinking about it, he’s ‘forgotten’ to buy condoms for the past 3 months. I caught him looking at my body yesterday while I was on the beach unceremoniously holding/rocking the baby to sleep… he looked quite repulsed tbh. Our baby is 6 months now. I can feel there are problems in our relationship in so many ways. Is this just normal?

Have you had a heart-to-heart with him about how you’re feeling—and asked how he’s feeling too? Having a baby can bring so many changes, and sometimes our minds run wild with worries. You might just be in your own head, mama. Don’t carry it all alone—talking it through could bring you both some peace. You’re doing amazing, truly

Thanks Georgina, yes just had a heart to heart and we both concluded i must be wrong about all this

Not having sex for that long is not normal, but maybe there are other issues going on, like stress, tiredness, low testosterone etc. Talk and see what might be the issue so you can solve it

There must be something going on besides what hes telling you if he has been okay with not being intimate for 3 months. Maybe have another talk with him and try to dig deeper to know if he’s been struggling with anything like maybe stress or little sleep. Those factors can definitely take a toll on someone and change their behavior.

I mean I wouldn’t say not having sex for that long is not normal as a broad statement. I would say having a kid changes a lot but it’s all about communication for sure. I had a brutal surgery so we didn’t have sex for a good 8 months but the key thing is are you doing other things to be intimate. Like cuddles kisses or just spending quiet time and talking. How do you feel after your talk?
