My baby usually has around 6/8 table spoons per meal depending on what it is, and a small yogurt or fruit/sweet treat for pudding :) for example, if I’m out he’ll finish a savery pouch for tea plus a pud. In terms of finger food for lunch he’ll have a small banana, and a small sandwhich or 1 boiled egg, and a snack like cheese with it or some crisps and a yogurt x
My boy is a bit hit and miss. Some days he eats loads. Sometimes, he'll eat well for 1 or 2 meals. And some days he'll snack at each meal. I just supplement with milk. If he doesn't want to eat, I can't force him!
We still having 3 9oz of milk after every meal Breakfast is always 2 Wheatabix sometimes with a whole fruit pouch sometimes just plain with whole milk Lunch is normally picky bits so today 3 strawberries 10 ish blue berries 1/4 of a cucumber in sticks half a tuna sandwhich and some cheese nibbles Dinner was spaghetti bolognaise and a banana All of it was ate I’ve always fed her so it doesn’t get messy and go to waste
@Sophie is your baby still having loads of milk? My boy is having more than 1000ml a day but not eating that much
She has around 800ml, 8 ounce morning and evening, and two smaller bottles in the day. I’m trying to reduce them a bit ounce by ounce during the day
750-900 cals a day including milk. When we do the store bought meals (e.g. when Nan is babysitting or if we go out - she has allergies so can’t just feed her anything from our plates) then she will eat all of these and either some melty snacks or fruit with it so that’s around 130-150cals. If we’re in the house I don’t know how many cals exactly but I would serve her a piece of toast with crust cut off, half of a scrambled egg and maybe some raspberries and she will eat most. Of course the dog gets thrown some. For dinner I tend to serve a bit too much just because I’m guessing with cals so she will leave more of that but I will roughly go for like half a potato mashed, one fish fillet 100g, half a tin of fish if I’m using that, one chicken thigh shredded, one big floret of broccoli or two smaller ones etc. for her actual meal she will get 3 things on the plate e.g. broccoli, chicken and potato. Or fish, cauliflower, mini naan bread. her snack is usually around 100 cals
This is probably why he’s not eating, drop a bottle and replace with a meal x
@Marissa thank you this is really useful!
My baby eats almost none!! I’d say a mouth ful maybe two mouthfuls per meal actually swallowed
