Weaning amounts?

We're doing a mixture of purees and BLW and have been doing purees since 4 months. Curious as to how much food your little ones are actually having each meal as I am not sure if my boy is eating loads or nothing compared to others 🤣 Our routine is: Wake - 7oz Bottle Breakfast - Porridge (huge bowl!) 10am - Snack (Banana/Oat mix) 12pm - 7oz Bottle 2pm - Lunch - Veg/Meal Puree 3pm - 7oz Bottle 5pm - Dinner - Meal Puree/Finger Foods/Fruit yogurt 7pm - 8oz Bottle He also has cucumber sticks and small snacks throughout the day...

This is literally the same as my little boy x

That seems like a lot! “Food before 1 is just for fun.” The main source of nutrition is supposed to be breastmilk/formula until they’re 1. At least from what I’ve been told by the doc. I only do 1 food for taste/texture purposes per day.

I also just do breakfast and maybe sometimes lunch, nothing after 3PM yet as it is hard for them to digest and yes making sure he has his regular formula intake :)

@Francy He is a hungry boy 🙈 He's also having about 30oz of milk a day still as well but he just wants food as well 😅

All babies are different some just take better to weaning, we see a dietician because he has cmpa and she said the amount he’s having is absolutely fine.

We started at 6 months old with just one puree meal a day, then went to 2, and now we’re on breakfast dinner tea with and trying him with sage melty finger foods, alongside 4 8oz bottles a day before hes down for the night x

I read you don't need to give them snacks until they're over 1, if they're still hungry in between meals they advise to give them more formula/breast milk and to offer them milk after the meal to fill them up x
