When are you all planning on telling people (if not already?)

Just curious on who you’ve told, and what your plans are to tell people. I’ve only told my husband and two close friends so far (who have also told their husbands) so the group is quite small - however still have a bit of support if needed. I’m currently around 10 weeks - my 12 week scan is on 12th May, so the plan is to see my parents soon after to let them know (my mum in particular is extremely anxious so I knew telling her would stress me out) and my in laws live about 2 and a half hours away so we will likely FaceTime them to let them know before going up to visit in July! I plan to tell friends just as and when I naturally see/speak to them really, and that’s it (not bothering will social media as the news will likely spread anyways!)

We had our 12 week scan on Thursday and told everyone yesterday and today. It is so nice to not have to keep it a secret anymore! We are not doing any social media announcements as if I don't meet up with someone for coffee or would text them, then they don't need to know something that is so personal to us

I shared my first and now my second both at 12 weeks with the majority of people via WhatsApp and told a handful of closer people prior. Shared on social media at 5 months as although I don’t speak to many, I know most people on there still and have past friendships etc from ex colleagues to old school friends etc and it’s still nice news to share but that’s the only thing I posted. Never put photos up of my first baby etc as keep most of my life private

Sounds similar to what I’m planning - it’s just quite agonising keeping it quiet and I honestly can’t wait till it’s out in the open - not long now I guess 😂🙈 x

I caved at 10 weeks and made a subtle ig story lol

I told immediate family and close friends at 4 weeks. Too excited to contain it, and I am glad I did as I have SUFFERED with nausea and my in laws have been great at supporting me (my side live 4 hours away). I told work at 6 weeks on a need to know basis. Now 11 weeks and I plan to announce on socials after my 12 week scan.

I think it’s really good that you’ve told people so they can support you - I kind of wish I’d done the same tbh as nausea has been particularly rough lately, but since I’m 10 weeks now I guess not too much longer to wait x
