Puerto Rican yellow rice and beans

Oh looks nice how do you make it?

@Rema Turn on a pot to medium heat line the bottom of your pot with oil (I prefer veggie it's thicker and takes time to heat up vs olive oil) Season the oil with salt, Adobo, sazon WITH achote (it colors the rice), a little bit of complete seasoning Add Sofrito and any can of beans you want after draining excess liquid from can (if you prefer fresh/dry vs can precook them n that's hours) By now your pot should be getting a little aggressive that's ok just a reaction of oil and water.... STIR Add rice and water just enough to cover the rice and beans (you can kinda see my water line in the pic) Add about 3/4 a cup of coconut milk (not an original ingredient I learned this from a bestie from the Bahamas and I ❤️ Caribbean food 😋) it's optional. But I stand on it! Turn it down to a moderate rolling boil until the rice cooks and the water boils out Turn it down to low and put a top on the pot to finish it off (ie rice fluffy and water completely cooks out)

I don't use measurements I just cook and I wasn't sure what your cooking experience is so im sorry if this explanation is janky 🫣🫶🏽.
