Consultant based

Anyone in the royal and consultant based, have you seen the same consultant regularly? I've seen now a different consultant at very appointment and have seen my actual consultant since 16 weeks I'm nearly 32 weeks now.

It’s very hard to get seeing the actual consultant. It’s usually one of the other practitioners who works in the consultants clinic. I really liked one of the doctors particularly and when checking in at reception I asked were they working and if so asked to be seen by them. This was possible for each appointment

I was at Antrim but same thing, I saw a different reg every time (you dont usually see the consultant) every few weeks for my whole pregnancy. Saw one doctor twice, that was all

AHH ok that's fine then I just remember my last pregnancy I seen my consultant a few times and always the same doctor

I always saw a different one throughout. I will say the one that I didn’t rate highly at an appointment was the one who actually did my ventouse assisted delivery and episiotomy and he was actually amazing and couldn’t have wished for a better consultant in the end.

I never actually saw the consultant once during my pregnancy, it was always a different reg each time. Found it strange at the time but seemed normal to everyone else

I'm not Royal but Ulster and haven't seen the same consultant twice and it was the same with my last pregnancy as well a couple of years ago xx

Like @Amy I will say that when my little boy was born a couple of years ago I felt like I was seeing yet another new consultant when in labour, but he did an assisted forceps delivery in theatre and episiotomy and I thought he was fantastic
