Helppp please.

Ok so today has been a world wind of a shit show . I was dumped with a bombshell of news. My dad (or son called Dad) was in the military. Met my mother who was already pregnant with my half sister. She was born in 83 but then gave up for adoption. That adoption started in or after May 84. My dad was not in the state side. He was stationed in japen. I was born in 85 in Virginia but supposedly somewhere in between my mother was in TX and Mississippi but ended up in VA afterwards. Something or a lot of things in this story don't add up at all. How do I find out where and when my dad came back from japen in the 80s. Does anyone have any ideas where to go to get help.

Check the instant checkmate website. It works better and you get a full report if you pay the subscription. It might point you in the right direction in terms of his residence at the timeline and comparing it to the story.

As his child you can request his records from the DOD. It takes 19 years for them to complete but you should be able to get a copy of his personnel file

@Kelsey 19 years from now. That's a lot of time 😔

Not actually 19 years! But it does take a long time to get those records. I would say several months to a year. And since this was in the 80s they likely haven’t digitized his records so it will take a long time. But you should still be able to request them as his child

@Kelsey ty for the information love.
