I think these things are sent to test us! I left my baby on the bed when I turned to put something in the bin. She fell off and was fine but it's made me think twice about everything now
Accidents happen my little one was in the bath and sneezed falling backward in to the bath and I was there grabbed her hut she was a bit shocked at first them found it funny don't stress
@Sarah I can imagine. I mean literally this has happened to all my friends kids 🥴 I'm sure my time will come but this just feels terrible
@Lara thank you. The thing is I was there but I think I was so shocked as he was actually putting himself back up so I didn't grab him in time before his head went under & of course it happens at bedtime so now I'm staring at the baby monitor feeling worried but I'm mainly just so disappointed that i left the room at least when he did actually slip i was there but God, if he slipped when I went to get a towel I don't even want to think about the consequences.
It was the worst feeling ever. Shes okay and I was up every two hours through the night checking on her
@Sarah I'm going to do that tonight just as I'm worried about his taking in too much water/ struggles to breathe or something.. I have no idea what I'm looking out for but I just feel I need to be up every 2/3 hours
How old is your little one
The fact that your son is not hurt and you have learnt a valuable lesson from this experience is good. We all make decisions at times that we shouldn't as we have not properly weighed up the risk. It doesn't make you a terrible mother, it makes you human. You know that you will never leave him unattended again so you had a lucky escape that you have learnt from
We've all had things like this happen, don't he too hard on yourself! My girl has fallen off the bed like twice, and face planted the kitchen floor aswell 🫣
@Rebecca ahh gosh my friends child fell off the kitchen counter and face planted the concrete floor, that was scary to hear. The bed I'm not even surprised anymore I hear and see this a lot now and also another common one is falling from the highchair but I don't know, this feels 'worse' obviously because the other stuff haven't happened to me, so this is the worst thing to happen. Just terrible mum guilt and scary watching your child slip under the water even for seconds. Thank you for the reassurance. I am feeling a BIT better as the evening passes.
@Kimberley, yes, definitely learnt a valuable lesson. That was a 1 time error, never again. It's terrifying. Thank you for your understanding and uplifting words. I still feel terrible and will do for the next few days, I'm sure.
My little one fell off the bed last night luckily she wasn't hurt but I felt awful that it happened
