haha same girl, we had to be creative to stimulate him and keep him entertained. At this age it’s kinda hard because they can’t fully communicate verbally so distraction is key. I’ll hold him while he throws tantrums, try playing music, going outside, and he’s currently obsessed with our vacuum, mop, and washer dryer machine so that will always do the trick for us😂😂 What is an example he throws a tantrum? mine for example gets upset a lot when we have to go and he wants to continue coloring, he doesn’t understand that we are going to be late obviously bc he’s a little human so we have to be slick about transitioning activities and distraction is key 🔑
I absolutely believe it’s teething! Coming from a pediatric dental assistant the irritability is common along with sleep changes.
My 19 month old just got over a sleep regression. It wasn't terrible at all but definitely needed a lot more than she usually did to fall asleep and she woke crying for me which she hasn't done in a long time. In terms of tantrums (she also hits me when shes upset) we are doing all of that to lol. She LOVES being outside, I take her out in nature as much as humanly possible, she almost never gets upset when walking in the woods, through rivers / puddles etc. I pack lunch, bring the dogs, make a day out of it and just let everyone go wild 🤣
There’s an 18 month sleep regression! That might be it.
