Skill consistency

I saw another post that got me thinking whether anyone else little one I'd like this.... My little one learns his skill and you'll have a couple of days of him absaloutly loving showing off and then you won't see it again for ages ...the only thing that seems to have stuck is pointing ..he very very rarely waves anymore and clapping he was ecstatic about it for about a week ..clapped hands on command ect but now we havnt seen it for about 2 months even when asked ....is this normal? Its seems to be the same kind of thing with words aswell 😕

Mine is very similar! She said mama once or twice then it’s disappeared and constantly says dada. We also didn’t see clapping for a week or two once she had mastered that. She’s concentrating on her walking now so I’m sure the other skills will come back!

Our little girl is the same! She claps fairly consistently now as that's how she shows she's happy but she hasn't always, most of her other skills seem to rotate 😅 I suppose it's quite a lot for their little brains to remember all these new skills, they probably only have capacity to remember a couple at any one time at the moment 😂

Thanks ladies ! Good to know...it's only today that I read about skill regression ect so was a little concerned.

Mines similar too! Pointing has stuck around but the waving he did for a week all the time and now only occasionally does it!
