For me personally my son was like this he had a tongue tie
She’s 4 weeks, she is being looked at for tongue tie on Saturday
We had a tongue tie cut at 3 weeks old. It made loads of difference to our breastfeeding experience. It might be more of a frustration cry rather than pain as she's not getting enough out. We had 2 days of pain crying after the tongue tie and the only thing you can do is breastfeed to help heal it. It's heart breaking hearing the pain cries and you can really tell the difference. I'm happy to talk more about our experience if you want to PM me
she is VERY nasal when she breastfeeds too and coughs like she chokes on her saliva can that be related to?
That might be the tongue tie and she can't keep up but that could be that you have a fast let down. You can try hand expressing a little first (when my partner would annoy me I'd just squirt it at him 😂) or you can try a different position. In the early days we did the ruddy ball hold
How old is baby? Coz it could be a number of things. It could be the start of teething and latching irritates the guns. It could be a tongue or lip tie and it hurts to latch. It could be that they have a sucking blister at the wrong place in their mouth so it's a bit of an ulcer. You can always reach out to your HV about these worries or the GP too
