Peel grapes??

Please tell me your tips and tricks to peel grapes fast! My little one only eats grapes if they’re peeled and when they are she will literally demolish them in seconds😂 it’s painstaking doing it but if I don’t she’ll spit it out

No tips but I'd honestly just not serve grapes😂 it sounds too painstaking!

@Bethany hahaha I wish I didn’t have to but she’s so fussy else! 18m and the only fruits she eats are those & sometimes strawberries🤦‍♀️

You have so much more patience than I do, I would not be peeling grapes lol kudos to you.

@M thank you😭 tbh I don’t properly peel them either, the most i do is cut them into rectangles (with great difficulty) and then cut them in half but cutting a round fruit into a rectangle takes so long😭

I don't know if it helps but the way to peel tomatoes is to score the skin, boil for 2 minutes and then blanching in ice water. Maybe score, pour a kettle over and then run cold tap over them?

@Tamsine Thank you! I’ll give that a try later and hopefully it’ll do the same

I'm sorry, I didn't know it was possible to peel a grape 😂 you're definitely better than me ahaha I'd tell my kid no 🤦🏼‍♀️

how did you discover that she only likes them peeled haha! good luck🤣

Oh my gosh my daughter was like this well still is 4 now 🤦🏻‍♀️ freeze them before hand then peel them let them defrost things we do for our babes

@Charlie hahaha with great difficulty😂 she’s super fussy with food at the moment so for now I’ll push through!

@Scarlett-rose she eats cucumber but spits the skin out and noticed a similar thing with grapes! so started taking the skin off & now she devours them like she’s never been fed before😂 thank you😭

@Jade glad to know I’m not alone! thank you, I’ll give that a go

If she eats them but spits the skin out can she not just continue to do that? Quartering grapes takes long enough, I literally just wouldn’t be serving grapes if I had to peel them too. I appreciate the whole fussy eater thing- my daughter is too. But I put things on her plate and if she chooses not to eat them then she makes that choice. Sometimes putting the same foods on that she typically doesn’t touch over and over results in her just giving up and trying them. She hated tomatoes up until recently but after a few dozen meals of never touching them or even just throwing them, they’re now her fav food.

I don't peel, I just wash & cut them in half

Yeah I would just keep giving her grapes like normal until she stopped spitting them out. You are an absolute saint

I quarter them and the peel. They're smaller and easier to get the skins off in 1 go

This sounds like hell. The grocery store would forever be out of grapes!

I did this for ages and then stopped. Pushed past her spitting the skins and now she’s fine with the skins. I guess they just have to get used to them one day. There’s no quick way to peel grapes 😩😂

When they are cut in half, I use a teaspoon to scoop them out!

My mom said that you can blanch grapes. Put them in boiling water and then the skins rub off 🤷🏻‍♀️
