100% normal! Mine are the same, will eat literally anything at nursery or at friends houses but is picky as anything at home. I’ve also been a scout leader for many many years. When we take the kids away on camp the parents will often have a list of things their kids won’t eat, but when everyone is sat together having the same thing, with no pressure or parents, it’s amazing what they’ll decide they like to eat 😄.
These little pickles! I just feel awful the fact he eats pretty much the same here every meal! His nursery menu is amazing haha Thank you for the reassurance xx
I just had this with my little girl and she’s just had a molar pop through! Guess at nursery they don’t think about it as much x
This is really, really normal! My eldest (nearly 4) is a far better eater at nursery than at home, and I was told by a lot of mums that it would be the case and their little ones were the same etc, and nursery too when I told them he was more picky at home. I think the social aspect of eating helps, if all their little friends are sat down eating the same, and they just generally can behave quite differently for other caregivers than they do for parents. I think at home he likes to exercise more control over what he does or doesn’t eat and ultimately knows eventually I’ll offer something else!
