I've seen people refer to themselves as that on social media so I would say it's a thing.

Many mothers still stay home while the kids are in school to manage and maintain many aspects of life. It also makes sick days or no school days less stressful for families. Most jobs don't work around school schedules so.

I was a stay at home wife for a couple years before I had a baby 😊

I did feel great when no one had to lose a job or money with the 5 of our children were sick. I just did what I did and took care of them. That was very nice! However, I found that MANY females were not so nice with the “it must be nice” comments. It didn’t make me staying home with them feel like I was “winning” a lot of the times. I know make sure I encourage my daughter to enjoy every minute that she’s home with her children. I tell her if she’s gonna work next year then she will if not keep enjoying what she’s doing. Don’t worry about what other women say to her?
