Would you say my toddler is too thin? Photo in comments

I try my hardest to get him to eat and he does eat a lot throughout the day, but he just doesn’t seem to gain any weight and keeps getting thinner. He’s 21 months and a half, height around 85-90 cm and weights 9.8kg

He laid down here so his belly will look flatter, but kids also burn a lot as they're constantly on the go, but you know your toddler, and if you think he's getting thinner maybe take him to doctors just to put your mind at ease?

My son is 24 months, weighs 10 kg and 81 cm. His doctor wasn’t concerned

My kids both weigh 50 lbs. My daughter will be 4. She's tall and slender. The pediatrician isn't concerned, so I'm not. My son is short and chunky.

He's not too thin. Mine is 27 lbs and 37.5 inches tall. His dad (6'1) and myself (5'9.5) are tall so he is likely to be slender. He eats A LOT for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Takes big poops in the morning so his food courses through him just like his father. We also go to the park and gym together which leaves him with ample play times. High metabolism in children is very likely. ☺️

@Becky he didn’t want to cooperate after his hair cut, he wasn’t a happy boy

I feel a bit more reassured thank you I see so many other toddlers his age that have much squish to them and he just runs around like he’s trying to be a 90’s runway model

Not at all! My son is almost 4 and a similar build but he’s a fussy eater

How is he tracking on his weight and height charts in his red book? If he's following the same line, you shouldn't be concerned!

Is the doctor worried about it? If not I wouldn’t stress

If the doctor isn't worried about it and he's healthy then I wouldn't stress over it. My girl is 2 (27mths) and weighs 29lbs/13kg. But shes 38in tall so she looks skinny but she's a healthy kid.

Nope looks normal

Losing weight is a bit concerning. I would say you're child is definitely on the thinner side. Have you spoken to his doctor about his weight

Definitely not malnourished he's just looks athletic built and tall, if concerned ( my girl is the same way with the build) you could always give pediasure to make sure he's getting what he needs

He’s probably getting taller, which is why he’s looking thinner. He looks healthy. My little girl is long and slim, I’d say laying down, she looks slimmer than him.
