I have been doing that and he’s got up to about 20mins in the high chair with toys! I just wonder if having a spoon, purée and finger food is too much at once. Even I thought the texture of the potato and carrot was gross😭😂
Could be! You could strip it back a bit to just one thing at a time and see if it makes a difference?
Yeah perhaps! Thank you! We got a bit further tonight, he played with it for a while before getting fussy.
We offered our girl some purees/mashes this week and she was so upset by it just cried and cried when she's normally happy to sit in the chair and play with spoons! She was horrified when it went on her hands 🫣
He could be one that is very BLW focused. My little girl in 3 weeks hasn't spat out a BLW food but regularly spits out and shouts about purees.
Maybe try having him in the high chair just to play with some toys when he’s in a really good mood so he creates a positive association with sitting in it? Mine hates having the bib on so we’ve done away with the bib and just strip him down to his nappy to eat 😂 if he’s in a bad mood and starts to fuss we just stop
