The moon & rue recipe book off Amazon, has a full crash course about everything with weaning so allergies, sugars, do’s and dont’s, choking etc. might be a good option for you! X

i can second that book, 😂it has so much information and recipes for up to 1 year meal plans, shopping lists, things you’ll need/not need, to start it’s a great book x

How i started though is with purées and just letting them get used to tasting it and the new textures and stuff and then maybe around 7/8 months letting them eat soft boiled potatoes or carrots stuff like that if they will x

Also just to add, early weaning can bring on early allergens just because babies gut isn’t mature enough. So if you’re wanting to start solids early, speak to a pedi and if you’re not getting that book, do your research on how they show they’re ready. And if you are going to do it, I’d stay away from all of those pouches and flavoured porridges! People are quick to jump to the kendamil porridge etc but please check the ingredients, it’s full of 💩. If you’re starting with porridge blend up some oats and add some mashed fruit xx

It’s really important not to wean early unless advised by professional dietitian. The NHS no longer advises weaning until 6 months due to babies gut health. This can leads to many issues later in life. Another issue is a baby could become full on puree food which does not have the same or enough nutritional value compared to milk for babies at this stage. It’s only a couple of months till babies start becoming 6 months so ideally best to wait x

Hi! Wanted to share a resource that might be helpful for year 1 feeding https://diningwithnature.com/nutrition-age-0-1/

The book “how to wean your baby” is really good! We will only be starting at 6 months though
