we’ve been giving our LO a bit from the 4+month pouches since she turned 4 months cause she kept trying to eat my food🤣🤣 i’ve been told to do what’s right for us & our baby (by medical professionals) & to check nappies etc for signs of bad digestion etc xx
Not everyone agree’s with it but you know your baby best! My baby is 5 months and i’ve started her on small amounts of puree and she absolutely loves them. If you’re going to i’d advise just small tastes of things to start off, you can buy puree pouches and baby porridge that’s suitable for 4months+
Also will be following the guidelines set out by the NHS, their little digestive systems aren’t ready yet. Milk has everything they need right now, unless a health provider advised me otherwise x
I'm the same as Rhiannon and Jade. My LO was showing huge interest in food, and now loves having small amounts of puree along with his milk. I've mostly been making the purees from scratch and adding his formula to it to make it correct consistency and a little added goodness for him :) He loves it!
Personally I’d be carful! Early weaning can trigger allergies as their gut isn’t mature enough for food. Babies don’t really know what food is so therefore it’s probably curiosity & putting stuff in their mouth is completely normal! My baby is 18 weeks and everything goes in her mouth! Speak to a pead as they can recommend if they think your baby is ready to start, but I’d try and hold off until 6 months xx
We were told by our health visitor that babies regularly show interest in food before 6 months, but it doesn't mean you should start weaning them. Their digestive systems just aren't developed enough. Unless suggested by your doctor, I'd highly recommend to wait till 6 months
I’m following the NHS guidelines for 6 months. Their digestive system isn’t developed enough before then
