Starting finger foods

Please tell me I’m not the only one feeding my son with a spoon?b My son will be 9 months on the 11th of June and I still blend his food. I recently gave him finger foods and he seems to prefer that now. He doesn’t want me to feed him all the sudden with a spoon.

My daughter still likes blended food from a spoon. She is only just starting to get her first tooth so I’ve been hesitant to give her more solid foods

My daughter is 8 months going to be 9 months of June 7th. I still give her purées. She had just recently got her first tooth so I’m just trying to ease her into solids only cause I’m a first time mom

We did a combo from the beginning Some foods are just better offered blended 🤷🏻‍♀️

I do some blended foods still. Otherwise we do soft foods she can smush, or noodles, if anything has meat in in it I blend it. If it’s veggies or fruit I smash it to feed her with a spoon. She does small bites of eggs well too. 9 months tomorrow.

My daughter will be 9 months on June 10th and she is still eating blended foods from the spoon. Some fruits and veggies she eats smashed.

I started feeding my son with a spoon/teething spoon, so he kinda knows how to hold it, but I want him to explore the foods and put them in his mouth on his own. We've done way more solids than purees, though. We've done a couple purees in baby popsicle form

Personally since she was 6 months we’ve given our daughter what we eat just in bite size pieces for her! She’s amazing at eating and grabbing her food and putting it into her mouth. My girl hasn’t had blended foods since she started complete solids at 6m. My girl is starting to learn a sippy, and plastic/rubber silverware and she’s great with using them herself!
