I am beyond confused about what help I'm entitled to and it's driving me crazy. I've been to citizens advice, the working families charity, my child's nursery provider, and they're all telling me different things😭 My son is 2 in August and starts nursery in September this year. I am currently working but only 8…
Hi all, does anyone have any advice on how you balance work and childcare now little ones are at school? Are you working term time only? 9-3? 9-5 part time? Do you have wrap around care some days? Childminder? Etc. what work best for you and why? I’m so confused about what the best option is for us. I don’t know if ...
Does anyone have any suggestions of where I could find some nice nursery wallpaper that’s not outrageously expensive? We’ve been searching for a while but everything seems to be safari (not on theme with everything we’ve bought which is more woodlandy!), not very nice or just crazy expensive. Grateful for any sugges...
Anyone have any experience with little plums nursery in Sneinton ?
Hey! Getting a tour of the future nursery for my little one in a few weeks- she’ll be 2 when she starts in November and just wondering what questions people ask? I asked a lot about funding & days etc but no idea what to ask about the actual daily things😅
Hello, I’m looking for a child minder as close to Hanham as possible from bet. Jan (2026). Can anyone recommend someone? Looking for Wednesday- Friday. Thanks :)
Only 8 months in 🥴😂🥳
Little one turns 1 next Wednesday and he’s in nursery normally on that day. Do I send him or not? Feels weird sending him but we’re doing something on the weekend plus hubby is working on the Wednesday, what would you do?
One doesn't go full time right now but he will next year and I will still be at home.
I keep seeing posts about why people wouldn’t put their kids in nursery (sometimes from people who’ve worked in them). What is so bad about them? Genuinely interested. My daughter is there 5 days per week and as far as I know has a great time but I don’t know what goes on behind the scenes.
Hi, my little one is 1 and a half. At the moment we’re living with my parents and my nan babysits when I work. It’s getting difficult for nan as my baby is getting bigger and more active. We’re moving to central London and not very near family so I need to get him into a nursery. Are there still waiting lists for nu...
My daughter recently moved up to the toddler room earlier than expected, and I’ve noticed it’s quite different from the baby room—particularly in terms of updates. They rarely log things like meals, nappies, or general daily information on the app. Is this typical for toddler rooms, or is it something that varies by...
So I enquired about a nursery space today for our 6 month old baby. I was absolutely shocked when I was told they would have no space until September 2026 😢 is this just the normal now? Have we left it too late to get something for the end of 2025/ beginning of 2026. Bear in mind this is with having a priority…
Anyone else’s little one not go to nursery? I feel like I’m the only mum who hasn’t sent their 18 month! I work 2 days a week and my mum looks after her for me as I’m lucky enough to have that option… I don’t think I’d look to send her until 3! Am I the only one?
I went on a tour of a Montessori school and you could totally see the grace and courtesy of all the kids or the grace and that c word I can't remember lol. Is it beautiful school and the kids seemed content and very well behaved but it was almost too quiet and boring and I don't know if that's a good thing for kids
Is everyone entitled to the 30 hour funding for nursery?
