My LO almost slept for 4-5 hours at a stretch until last month. For past couple of weeks LO has started waking up almost every hour, wants a little feed, and last night couldn’t sleep at all without being held in arms. Why is the baby craving contact sleep at this stage? Any recommendations? For reference, LO is t...
Finding transitioning to 1 nap really hard. Some days he will breeze through the morning no issues and other days he needs a morning nap. Feel like I don’t know what to expect with my days now and planning around naps etc. how long did the transition take for you?
We’d almost done it around 16 months but then a trip to the hospital set us back. Now my daughter is able to say the word and it’s starting to become a sleep crutch - she can’t sleep without one in her hand and one in her mouth. What strategies have you used to get rid of the pacifier that worked? Right now she on...
How's everyone dealing with it? My boys started the last few days. His morning nap is longer, his wake window after is longer and then his last nap finishes too early for him to last until 7pm bedtime so he's just super naggy from 5:30pm. Last night I put him to bed at 6:30pm but any other tips please?
Could anyone share what pram they’re using? And are our babies sat up now or still laying flat? Can they be sat up if they fall asleep, or is this still dangerous? I’m still scared of sitting him up incase he falls asleep and I also don’t want him facing the world yet 😭 is this reasonable
guys is anyone else’s baby suddenly going crazy at nappy time and when getting them dressed ?!? My goodness it’s become a 2/3 man job to do my babies nappy, you’d think she’s being tortured !!!! Can’t even imagine what my neighbours might think lol. She’s always been fine to get nappy done, dressed, nails cut etc. b...
My 2.5 toddler keeps waking up at night and my husband continues to give her milk when she cries and asks for it. Then my husband wonders why does our daughter keep waking up at night and asking for milk and I said bc you keep giving it to her. He believes that she still needs the milk. She doesn’t. Her height and w...
We've been sleep training using the Ferber method & had amazing results. He's gone from 1-2 hourly wake ups to sleeping 8 hours in 3 days. He now wakes up at 4am and last night was awake for an hour before I caved and got him into bed with me? Any advice for helping them sleep those last 3 hours in their cot?
Any one else? He’s great in the day but has a long sleep before his last feed of the night and then we’re awake until his next feed at 2/3am! Help one tired mumma here!
My 3yo (almost 4) has been awake since 5am. At 7 I made breakfast for her, put the telly on, and told her I was gonna go rest for a bit (I didn't go to sleep until midnight as was doing chores we'd been out all day). There's no dangers in that room, and no choking risks in her breakfast. I've literally only just wok...
Hi all, my 3 months old baby has suddenly decided to refuse taking the bottle. She won't suck, just sort of mouths it and then screams, sometimes even to the point of gargling and sounding like she's choking with the bottle in. And we take it out, she screams will more. She’s been really hard to settle for bed at n...
The last 4 nights my daughter has been waking around 12:30-1am saying she’s hungry? Even though she’s eating normally and plenty during the day, I offered her a bedtime snack the last few nights but she declined as she’s still full from dinner. Is this a growing phase? Usually she sleeps 12/13/14 hours straight th...
My LO is now 4 months for the last three days has been crying for a long time before each nap. It seems to start when he gets tired. I am watching his sleep queues and wake windows and we have tried everything from walking around, changing him, singing, another bottle etc. But he seems to only stop for a moment when...
Does anyone else’s baby sometimes sleep through their wake window? If so do you let them naturally wake on their own or do you wake them?
5 month old and has always been rocked / held to sleep (reflux when younger and has now become habit). During the regression she's learnt to put herself back to sleep when stirring but can't from full awake. At bedtime or after night feed she fights the rocking pulling her head back and whining. I'll put her in the ...
I have a 7 month old and a 2 year old. My 2 year old has always had trouble sleeping and has only recently started sleeping through the night about 75% of the time, but she doesn’t go to bed until late. I She shares a room with my 7 month old, who as a newborn pretty much slept through the night no problem and was s...
He's always been a lighter sleeper, but for months now he wakes up every 2-3 hours for the entire night (7pm-7am). Sometimes he's hungry, and sometimes he just wakes up screaming and I need to go in and comfort him back to sleep. When he does that he won't soothe himself back to sleep, I have to go in there or he wi...
I don't know whether to leave her a little longer to see if she self settles. I probs only give her 2mins max (feels way longer but I checked my camera and I'm getting her between 2 to 3 mins) What does everyone else do? For info she's still in our room as we have temporarily moved into my parents house for 3 mo...
My son is 7 months and waking every night, around 1:30/2, for 2hrs. This has been going on since the beginning of November. He’s wide awake and nothing can settle him. He’s not hungry, I change his nappy if it’s needed, I’ve adjusted the temperature in his room in case he’s getting cold, I’ve tried going in every ...
To start we've had little practical support. No one has ever had my lo for more than a couple of hours... other than nursery. My inlaws have only ever had my lo (now 4) for an hour tops alone. There's now talk of him sleeping over theirs (an hour drive away) Firstly it's a bit too little too late in my eyes. Se...
