Every child will learn to sleep on their own bed and fall asleep eventually on their own, I’m nursing my baby to sleep and hate the talk of them getting wrong sleep association, the only person “suffering” from these “wrong” associations is you yourself and if nursing to sleep doesn’t bother you there’s nothing wrong about it. Baby year goes so fast and I personally want to get everything out of it so I love to the snuggles when I nurse him to sleep, he holds my hand and it’s just our special bonding moment ❤️ My baby is now 4,5months old x
We fed to sleep (expressed milk in bottle) until my son was 10 months because it was impossible to keep him awake when he has his bottle, I only stopped because he’s a 99th percentile chunk and I was struggling to put him down asleep. I started to give his bottle with the light on and talking to him, tickling his feet to keep him awake then we’d read a couple of books and I’d put him down. He’s now 2 and a bit and still loves bedtime milk but is now somewhat more demanding on the number of stories before he’ll go in the cot 😅
@Lydia yeah you are right.
@Janina thank for the good words and yeah I also love the moment while nursing my baby and he sleep in my arm.
@Mel that good for you. By the way my baby start reject bottle since he was 3 months old and now he is 5 months old. Before we combo feeding him by nursing and bottle as well.
I’m sat here feeding to sleep and baby is now an 18 month old toddler, still the best thing ever and we both love it. He self settles with everyone else (nursery and my mum) so he’s learned to do it, but it still feels right for us to feed to sleep so we do x (He was combi fed)
@Lydia that so nice to hear this. I always love to be with my baby while nursing and he sleep in my arm as well
I’ve never found a disadvantage myself but equally don’t know how to stop 😆 x
