However he is now fighting his naps and his nighttime bedtime. Last night, it took four hours to get him down and he eventually slept at 11pm, despite waki...

Does drowsy but awake work??

I’ve been trying to put my LO down drowsy but awake as has been waking up to be rocked to sleep every hour from 12.30am in the night. It worked once but has not worked again. Wakes up fully when put down, if calm I leave him to figure it out but pick up and calm him down if crying. This leads him to a wake window wh...

Is anyone elses 16 month old refusing to nap? He definitely isn’t ready to drop it because he will go so tired at around about 4pm if he doesn’t have one but all he does is play in his cot and refuse to sleep even though he’s absolutely shattered. We had the same battle yesterday and he didn’t have one but we put h...

Sleep help

We’ve been going through a sleep regression however, we seem to have managed to cut the crying etc out but taking her so long to fall asleep at night. She’s always been like this with the odd time of it taking only half an hour for her to fall asleep. It’s getting to the point I’m getting so frustrated because I’m...

6-month old sleep issues

My LO almost slept for 4-5 hours at a stretch until last month. For past couple of weeks LO has started waking up almost every hour, wants a little feed, and last night couldn’t sleep at all without being held in arms. Why is the baby craving contact sleep at this stage? Any recommendations? For reference, LO is t...

Best way to cut the pacifier?

We’d almost done it around 16 months but then a trip to the hospital set us back. Now my daughter is able to say the word and it’s starting to become a sleep crutch - she can’t sleep without one in her hand and one in her mouth. What strategies have you used to get rid of the pacifier that worked? Right now she on...

Transitioning to two naps?

How's everyone dealing with it? My boys started the last few days. His morning nap is longer, his wake window after is longer and then his last nap finishes too early for him to last until 7pm bedtime so he's just super naggy from 5:30pm. Last night I put him to bed at 6:30pm but any other tips please?

Ferber method

We've been sleep training using the Ferber method & had amazing results. He's gone from 1-2 hourly wake ups to sleeping 8 hours in 3 days. He now wakes up at 4am and last night was awake for an hour before I caved and got him into bed with me? Any advice for helping them sleep those last 3 hours in their cot?

How much independent play is too much?

My 3yo (almost 4) has been awake since 5am. At 7 I made breakfast for her, put the telly on, and told her I was gonna go rest for a bit (I didn't go to sleep until midnight as was doing chores we'd been out all day). There's no dangers in that room, and no choking risks in her breakfast. I've literally only just wok...

My baby suddenly refuse to take last feed of the night

Hi all, my 3 months old baby has suddenly decided to refuse taking the bottle. She won't suck, just sort of mouths it and then screams, sometimes even to the point of gargling and sounding like she's choking with the bottle in. And we take it out, she screams will more. She’s been really hard to settle for bed at n...
