Not eligible for SMP, but sent maternity allowance forms off. How long did it take for anyone to hear back with a decision from them? 🙃
Is it better to pay off debt or save money first?
I returned from maternity on 13th January. I have just got a new job and start on 3rd May. I thought I needed to return to teaching for a minimum of 13 weeks, so as not to have to pay back OMP. So I thought a 3rd May start date would be fine. However, I have re read my contract and it states: OMP is paid on th...

I’m 18 weeks pregnant and now in the ‘qualifying period’ for determining maternity pay. I’m unbelievably stressed at work and trying to balance all this with also caring for a toddler is taking a huge toll on me. I’m worried about how a period of sick leave would affect my maternity pay though. Has anyone had an...
I'm Canadian and obgyn services, blood test, giving birth and post birth baby care is all free. For people outside of Canada or any country that doesn't have free healthcare, how much are you paying to give birth??? I just saw a post that it was 2k+ like??? That's crazy to me lmao
My obgyn asking me to make 4 x500$ payments for the upcoming delivery. (According to what my insurance covers this would be my estimated out of pocket). This is very strange to me because when I delivered in NJ I never payed more than 20$ a visit and then got the bill after the delivery.
If you were a SAHM for a number of years (more than 2), did you find it easy or hard to get back into the workplace again?
I’m trying to see if my insurance is good or not. I had my baby in September 2024 and I owe over 5k from birthing my baby. I looked into it and my insurance only covers 85%. Is this normal?
I still haven’t figured out if I’m going to be placing her in a daycare or stay with my grandmother… but idk it’s starting to seem too little still 🥺 I’m going to be so sad when I have to go back. I had requested two extra months and will not be getting paid those two months
I got summoned for juror duty for the months of March and April! I am due end of February and my maternity leave is March-May! When looking at reasons you can be excused for juror duty, just giving birth isn’t on the list!! I am so angry and I hope I can get out of it! Has anyone had this happened? I’m so angry and ...
