My preemie story

Here's my story I found out I was pregnant when I was 5 months gone, only because my friend thought she was, so I agreed to take a test with her to calm her and it turned out, I was the one pregnant! I had no symptoms, I still had periods, now I look back and I was eating a whole lot more! So as soon as I found out I got stuff ready, had steroid injections, because the baby was small, but I'm a small person so I knew that was going to happen. One night I felt really ill, so I went to bed early thinking it was just a bug and I'd sleep on it. I started throwing up, throwing up blood, and then that's all I can remember, I remember waking up in intensive care afterwards with bandaging around my stomach thinking I've lost my baby, no one told me what happened, I had to ask, but no one told me anything until my mum came to see me, the baby was fine! In SCBU, breathing by himself. If it wasn't for my mum coming to get me for an appointment that day, and having a spare key to my house, I may not of been here today, I had eclampsia, severe fitting, had to have a blood transfusion and platelets. I lost 4 1/2 pints of blood. I was told I had an emergency cesarean, they wanted to transfer me to another hospital but I had another seizure in A&e so was rushed into theatre. My mum must of been so scared. My little boy weighed 3lbs 3.5oz and was 7 weeks early. His name is Tyler. He was born with club foot in his right foot, and has had 3 surgeries, and is still undergoing treatment, he also now has scoliosis (curve of the spine) but now he's 9 years old, and even though his foot is still bad, he is a happy little boy and I wouldn't change him for the world!

All planned caesareans due to the first complication! But they were so laid back and everyone was supportive and comforting!x

Im very curious about the ob's explanation of still having periods. I've heard of someone else who had that! But Google has nothing
