Universal Credit question

Hi, I was asked by the Universal credit review team to provide proof of rent payments and first they asked me if I had any receipts from the landlord. I said that I wasn't sure so they told me to send them bank statements showing the rent payments instead. After the call I actually found the receipts from my landlord and asked on the Journal if I should upload them after all. It's been a few days and I haven't got a reply yet but I would feel more comfortable sending the receipts instead of bank statements. Did anyone have to provide such proof and uploaded receipts? I am a little confused as to what I should do; wait for a reply or just upload already what I was asked for at first and feel more comfortable with. I got a 2 week deadline by which I need to send all the documents they asked for. At the same time they wrote on the to-do list already that I should send them bank statements and I am wondering if they will find it strange that I send them something else instead?

no you don’t have to wait for a reply just go ahead and submit the receipts, evidence is evidence

A letter from your Landlord confirming you live there and how much rent you pay them should suffice. Never had to upload any receipts or bank statements.

What about your tenancy agreement? I’ve only ever had to upload it once and have never been questioned about whether or not I pay rent to the landlord

For how many months is this evidence supposed to cover?

@Irene For 3 rent payments, so 3 months
