This sounds just like my situation. Limited family support here with 4 kids (13,11,8,5) no grandparents just me!! I wrk full time as well so a lot of mum guilt. It’s really difficult. Nights out are a myth.

Same here. My LG is almost 4yrs old n its just me. She has lots of friends tho from nursery. I don't feel like she is missing out u can't miss what u never had. Its alot for me I never get a break she goes to nursery for 3hrs n I do the housework n go pick her up. We r both very happy tho. Don't look at what ur child doesn't have look at what they do have. Our kids r lucky coz they r loved and wanted so many kids don't truly feel that. X

It's just me and my girl who's 4months, the family support we do have is 400miles away. I have real bad mum guilt all the time especially as I'm trying to finish my Masters I feel like I have to keep putting her on her play mat or on her bouncy chair infornt of the telly to keep her entertained while I try do my work. I just have to keep telling myself it's only temporary. I do feel like she's missing out on family as well 😒

Same here. I’m doing it all alone with no father or family support, it’s literally just the two of us. It’s really difficult, but we are all doing our very best for our children and you should be proud of all that you do xx

Youre not alone in feeling like this, I'm a single mum with dad or his side not involved, and no family support on my end hardly. My son is a terrible sleeper and has tons of energy all day, is currently being assessed for adhd. I experience so much mum guilt for our situation and not being able to give him the focus I wish I could as everything is always on me with no breaks etc.

It is tough on your own, it’s just me as well and there’s no break. When she’s at childcare, I’m at work so I get no break. But I wouldn’t change it because it’s me and her against the world. You have no interference from well-meaning in-laws, you can raise your child with your values, no compromise. Your little one will be your little bestie, you’ll have an amazing bond. But it is hard, we get it xx

@Alison I really needed to hear this.. thank you. It’s my daughters birthday today and no family has even said happy birthday or got her anything, it makes me so sad for her but like you say, they can’t miss what they don’t have. Thank god for friends & making our own family through them

Wish her happy birthday from me and my daughter. I'm sure she will have a great day coz she is with her favourite person dont b sad for her she has everything she needs and more. U r enough always remember that especially on the days u feel like ur not remember u r. Xx

Thanks everyone who’s commented on this post, it’s good to know we’re not alone in our situations. The mum guilt is real but we’re more than enough ❤️

Happy belated princess🎈

Shall we all just build a commune & be a big family? 😂
