The private website fee sheets are incredibly misleading which is cruel when trying to budget as it isn’t transparent. We had a straightforward ICSI collection and fresh transfer and it was £14k in 2022. This included all blood work, scans, storage, drugs, consultations. Basically all the small print extra!! You can buy drugs through Asda who are not for profit on ivf drugs and ask your gp to do bloods on the nhs Its expensive. Clinics offer payment plans and there are schemes to help. So you can pay for multiple transfers at once (this works out cost effective if your first transfer fails) We took the risk and paid for one round and luckily it worked.
We spent about £10k in total but that was with donor sperm. Our meds alone were £1500
@Dipti my partner has children already so we won’t qualify
Thank you for all your replies, I’m really hoping we don’t need it as we definitely couldn’t afford anything like that. I was thinking it would be about 4k 😞 x
What criteria makes you think you don't qualify for it through NHS? I've heard it's approx £5k per cycle
