I had no issues with it. Got it taken out on may 30th I’m now 5-6 weeks pregnant.
@Quilina yes
@Raye-Lyn im so nervous about it but this brings me relief☺️, how long did you have it in?
I had it for 6 months. My son was 2 months old when I got it put in and was 8 months old when I got it taken out! Copper one is better because there no hormones to mess yours up.
Just sharing my experience. I got it last year and it ended up coming out of place so they reinserted a new one under ultrasound guidance to make sure it was in place well! It was painful and definitely made my cramps heavier and more painful but mine were already that way just a pinch higher now so I could handle it. The strings to make sure they were in place sucked to check because they can curl up and you can’t reach them so then I panicked because you’re supposed to be able to feel them to make sure it’s there. So the strings can curl up. It was great, birth control and never felt it unless the strings need snipped you can feel them poking you internally. Had the IUD for 6 months and I ended up pregnant with my now 3 week old. ♥️ I didn’t know it came out of place, I still felt the strings and had no signs it came out of place a second time and was pregnant. My coworker just happen to have a dream and I took a random test. So copper vs hormonal iud the second it’s out of place—-
It is no longer effective. The hormonal ones create a barrier so that it still is working. So I would have loved it had I not gotten pregnant. 🤣
That’s the copper one correct?
