@Teddie Thank you! I have an initial scan next week to get some answers on my chances. How did you go about choosing a clinic? Did you use a sperm donor if you don’t mind me asking?
Yes I did I used a clinic a friend had used and had success with. Care Fertility I used sperm donor from Brighton
Hello, I would really consider your chances for IUI, unfortunately me and my wife were unsuccessful after 4 tries. We were told a 12-15% chance of success with IUI and 45% chance with ivf. I was 35 when we started the process. Fortunately we now have a 7 month old through IVF. We used european sperm bank to choose a donor. For IUI you need a vial of sperm per try (about £600 a vial) and then you need to pay for a pregnancy slot (£500) and then postage was about £300. I would say if you are going to continue with IUI then purchase 3 vials to save on postage. Some clinics have a donor bank attached with them so I would ask your clinic. Each IUI procedure for us was £800 a go. I just have spent maybe £300+ prior on tests etc. I would say go to the GP for any tests that they can do. We had to do a full sti screening so I went via the GP, they could also do a couple of other blood tests as well. Any other questions, pop me a message 😊 Good luck!
Hi I am currently doing IUI in London and it does cost quite a lot , I have nearly spent 10k and I have 2x failed IUI. I will be going in for my third IUI in a few weeks so wish me luck third time lucky 🍀 🤞🏽🙏🏽 I am hear if you want to ask any questions or to meet up for support ❤️
Hi amelie I had iui but I had appontment first to discuss options as single mum. I would also recommend having a hycosy before to check your fallopian tubes are not blocked. I luckily fell pregnant after 2 attempts but think it's up to the individual though some clinics will only do a certain amount.
