First time air travel hacks needed đź’•

Does anyone have any advice for traveling with 4 month old or tips that helped them? Any must haves items or hacks would be greatly appreciated. Traveling in 2 months and want it to go as smooth as possible. We’re traveling with him as a lap infant. Thanks! 🙏🏼

Bought new toys that he hasn’t seen only for the plane ride also bought some zarbees lavender calming oil and would put it on his feet right before boarding and diaper change , I made sure I would feed as plane is taking off and landing for any ear discomfort, I was super nervous as I didn’t know what to expect , traveled when my baby was 2 and 4months he slept pretty much the whole plane ride which was 51/2hrs, I got window seat and my husband was middle seat the first plane ride and it wasn’t too bad I liked That I had the window to rest my arm, or I would do close to walk way just incase you feel like you might need to get up a lot , but traveling with infants I heard is a lot easier than toddlers lol good luck!

Have them drinking the bottle during take off and landing to avoid ears popping

Have bottles ready to go in a cooler if breastfeeding. I heated them in this and asked a nearby coffee stand for hot water for it. Got baby milk drunk and he slept the whole flight there and back.
