Travel to Sri Lanka

Has anyone been to Sri Lanka before with little ones? Travelling with an 18 month soon and suddenly getting a bit freaked out that we’re being too adventurous! Any tips? We are staying Colombo > Galle > Tea plantations Staying mainly 5* hotels (although have also heard the standard is a bit different to what we’re used to in Europe) and not doing anything particularly wild when we’re there. Beach, site seeing etc…
