@Hayley thank you I really appreciate the advice
Crete won’t be that hot this time of year, it’s only about 25 degrees. A simple romper/vest/just nappy during the day will be fine, evenings will be cooler around 20 so will probs want a romper and light cellular blanket over them or a muslin. If you have air con you probs won’t need it on if the outside temp is around 20 at night, I would say pop little one in either just a sleep suit or a vest and 0.5 sleep bag. A pram fan will be good for during the day to keep them cool when out and about. The pool also will be really cool as this is what happens when night temperature drops, I reckon it may be too cold for baby to go in but if you do want to then a long sleeve long leg swim suit and a hooded towel for when they get out! My parents live in Greece so this is first hand advice x
I was advised no mosquito repellent even the stickers till 6 months but it’s your child and your choice at end of the day! I bought a mosquito net for the pram and for the travel cot and didn’t use either. However they also say don’t use suncream till 6 months and I used that for when he was in the pool, so up to you as you know baby best x
@Elena thank you that's so good to know
Vie mosquito repellent, we didn’t have any issues with our 9 week old just keep baby in a nappy during hottest hours or go to your room. We went to Tenerife in July for 10 days and it was fine. I used a snoozeshade when walking in direct sunlight but would just keep her in shade when stopped. Pram fans are great. You have to buy bottled water with low sodium if you bottle feed or to wash any feeding equipment so have a look for the recommended brand in Crete X
Hey Try not to stress. I know it’s hard. I took my at the time 2 month old to Spain in July and then again in August. It was super hot. We spent most of the time in side in the air conditioning. But did have to go out quite often in the day as I also have a 5 year old. I took a buggy fan which really helped but wish I had taken 2 as the batteries don’t last that long. There are mosquitoes repellant stickers you can get to put on their clothes rather than their skin. She spent the whole time in little loose dresses and was fine. Try and be as prepared as you can be. Take calpol. Try and enjoy and the time with your little one. I’m sure there will be plenty of people around to help if you’re going for a wedding. X
