None, she has no interest in a screen
Mine likes the lights, and it can calm her. We've had the news on in the background when she's been upset and because the channel uses red, white and black as their branding colours, we've noticed she'll suddenly calm and become quite captivated by it. I wouldn't worry about using it once in a while for you to get some peace though x
Mine is almost 9 weeks and hasn’t shown any interest in the tv yet! I’m kind of glad though and I hope to keep that way as long as possible. She likes drum and bass music and the spot lights 😅
I have the radio on or the TV but LO usually is busy feeding, playing on her playmat or facing us on her bouncer so the TV is just noise
Last few days iv put on 20 minutes of dancing fruit in the morning to allow me to eat breakfast and shower - otherwise I would find this very tricky. I don’t think 20-30 mins a day is harmful, if watching for hours that’s less ideal but for some people it may be the only way to calm their baby so I wouldn’t take anyone’s advice on here really you do what you think is best for your family 🙂
None, I’ve got some baby playlists on my Spotify that he likes and he goes in his bassinet with sensory cards and a playlist on if I need to do something while he is awake.
If my boy is crying and won’t settle on his play mat or chair and I’m trying to do something then I put dancing fruit on for him. And I don’t feel guilty atall 😂 He gets lots of attention and stimulation from me, his dad and big brother all day, his play mat and lots of books xx
@Jenna (Jen) we do this too, in that case I wouldn't count it as screen time ☺️
@Harriet I agree with Harriet here too. You do what you need to do to get stuff done x
My tv is on most of the day but I occupy my little boy with activities (tummy time, play mat, bouncer etc) I also use the tv for singing as I'm rubbish at remembering nursery rhymes etc but then I sit with him and sing along etc
My baby girl is also not interested in TV. She can look at a phone screen for like a min if my partner is watching some reels, but that's about it.
I have found my little girl enjoys dancing fruit. She gets excited when she sees the watermelon 😂 I have found my little one gets bored very quickly so the dancing fruit have helped with giving my arms a break from carrying her around as entertainment
This time round my baby hasn’t ever watched tv specifically for her. There has been tv on in the same room as her but I normally have her facing away or she’s occupied with other things. She’s an extremely chill baby on the whole though and is very happy to be left whilst I do things as long as she’s fed and not gassy. My first was not happy to be left to her own devices at all so we did use dancing fruit with her! All depends on the temperament of the baby. Don’t feel bad for using screens if you need them to have a bit of you time 💕! X
😂 I have a toddler, the telly is on most of the day 🙈 he doesn't really watch it to be fair but he gets upset when it's not on, I think he likes the background noise- but the radio or audiobooks don't work the same 🤔
