My daughter has a Christmas pantomime trip in December and it’ll be her first , I’m worried about the coach trip there ( should only be a 10 min drive) , I’m worried about her getting lost there and how she’ll feel watching it ( although she’s very excited atm) I think it’s very overwhelming to think about , but I think they wouldn’t do the trips if they couldn’t handle it , and the only way I’ll trust them & her is for it to just happen!
My son is 11 he's going on a residential on Tuesday 4 days away from his parents , he's so excited can't wait to do the full on activities. Me on the other hand I'm nervous anxiety is hitting the sky , I will probably ugly cry when he sets of on the coach. I will miss him so bloody much!! But he's so independent 😩 so grown up for his age 😢 I'm actually tearing up now 😢 😭
Oh, the amount of risk assessments and planning that goes into a trip is astonishing. There will be staffing ratios and all sorts of other safety measures put in place. Try not to worry. I hope your child has a lovely time. (Anecdotally, I didn't lose a single child in 27 years of trips)
I’ve chaporoned a school trip and I was responsible for 4 kids, there’s no way I could have lost them. Do regular head checks, basically all stay together anyway, kids all behaved. It’s the coach I worry about and not being in a car seat
