My first was seen by Deirdre OLeary Vos in Cork City, my second at the National Tongue Tie Centre in Clonmel. Both excellent. Deirdre would be cheaper but my second had a vein under the tie so it had to be released by laser at the tongue tie centre. Happy to answer more questions if you wanted to pm! Xx
@Cristina can i ask how long you had to wait to get procedure done after gp referred
@emma i never brought my kids there for tongue tie, had to bring him for other reasons but you can ring up his secretary and go private if you wish..
I got my boy done at 2 weeks
Rachel Quigley in Cork is a GP who also specialises in tongue ties. She was recommended by a paediatrician, but we didn't need to go in the end as baby fed well with minor tongue tie.
The national tongue tie clinic in Tipperary . It is not a money racket it can really affect some babies. My baby had severe reflux and neck problems from a severely tight tongue tie. The tongue tie clinic gave us physio, feeding specialist. He’s 19 months now and a different child from day one. It was worth every penny. Cannot stand people saying it’s just a money racket , it really does affect them
My lactation consultant highly recommended Justin Roche at the National tongue tie centre in Tipperary - I was really nervous as my daughter was only 3 weeks old at the time but the level of care we received was amazing - during the consultation they get a lactation consultant to see you for an hour or so, Justin then examines baby and talks through everything with you, then a nurse goes through muscle exercises with you to do at home with baby for healing. The procedure is done during a separate appointment and then a follow up appointment is made a few days after that. The results have been great and couldn’t recommend them enough!

Hi I got my little ones done in Maynooth. Went very smoothly.
Hello, where are you based ? My son was tongue tie lactation consultant agree and sent me to a collegue that does it without referal got appointment about 7-10 days after contacting the doctor !
I second Dr.Alan, he won't do it if there's no need. He really knows his stuff and also certified lactation/feeding consultant. We went to him after PHN, GP and pediatrian said no tongue tie but I felt there is, and in fact it was. Procedure took few min and my little one cried only once, it healed well also.
@Bréa i am in kildare!
