Mums without a license

How do you fill the days when you can’t drive? The village I live in also has one minibus type of bus to a small town but it’s very unreliable and there’s no designated bus stops, you have to book the bus like a taxi. Other mums that don’t drive, how are you spending your days with LO and still getting out the house?

It’s hard to comment without knowing where you live. I have a car but if I didn’t I would still be able to fill my time. We’ve got the beach, village pond with lots of pubs and a few coffee shops. I’ve also got a playground within walking distance and a library with a good children’s area. We’ve got sheep at the back of our garden and horses just down the road. Is there anything at all? Even a green area when you can take a ball? I find kids prefer villages or smaller towns with wildlife to bigger towns or cities! Sometimes we just go outside the house on the pavement and he picks up sticks and puts them down the drain 😂 We sport birds and squirrels and every time the bin men come it’s a whole thing hahah xx

I don’t drive. I walk to a baby class once a week, go to the local park, go for a walk for a coffee, the library. Iv recently bought a fold up portable car seat (forward facing yes I know not ideal) that I can use on short journeys in friends cars or in taxis if I want to go somewhere when it’s raining which has been a life saver xxx

I walk to the park, shopping centres, to the GP, to baby groups. My home to these places is like 10-20 minutes walk.
