As above, defo drop the cows milk to see what happens. Try soya or oat maybe x
I’ve put her on oat today to try it from her symptoms it sounds like lactose intolerance but she has constipation not diarrhoea so I’m not sure. Her dad’s saying to leave her but my doctors and health visitor all I get is she’s a baby and she’s fine. I just can’t listen to her being inconsolable and screaming as you can tell she’s in pain x
Just stick to the oat milk for a week and see if she starts to struggle less. So lactose intolerance is a little different, as that's the Lacoste sugar that your body can't tolerate so it upsets the acids. But the constipation can be from the proteins slowing down the bowl movements and not breaking down enough to be passed. It's actually quite common in babies when making the transition to cows milk. It's usually resolved in time once their digestive system matures. Just take a break from it and introduce slowly again. Keeping fingers crossed the no cows milk route works for you though, must be horrible for you both xx
My advice... Drop the milk. Cows milk has different proteins, and your LO might not to able to digest it. Try soya or another alternative and find calcium from other sources. Or just drop altogther, my LB when we tried to transition didn't want it, so he's never drank it. He just drinks water. Just test it for 2 weeks and if there's no improvement get yourself booked in with the HV for a chat and diet check. They might be able to pinpoint it if it's not the milk.
