Istanbul with baby

hello, i’ll be taking my 3 month old to istanbul in a week (staying in taksim) if anyone has been is it very stroller friendly or should i take her in the carrier most places as i’d rather not carry the stroller around with me. Also should i get turkish liras in cash or is card ok? TIA xx

I would definitely recommend a stroller!! I’ve been to Turkey many times including Istanbul there are so many hills, bumps etc you really would need it. Istanbul can really get tiring haha especially with the crowd Carrier would be best if you’re jumping on a bus, taxi, going to shopping centres etc Also I wouldn’t recommend card - please do Turkish Lira in cash. Most places do cash and I believe a lot safer ❤️ Hope that helps !! Have lots of fun 😊

Take a stroller! It’s a tiring city as Selin said; cobbles, tram tracks, up and down hills. Taking a carrier is a good idea too but you will tire out yourself faster. I take cash for the souks and restaurants but I just use my card for shops etc.

@Selin Thank you this is very helpful! i’m taking it for the airport anyway- but didn’t know if it was useful while there as other countries i’ve been to i found the paths have been quite broken and not stroller friendly so good to know that it will be ok there :)

@Sarah i’m taking the carrier for busier places but just didn’t know if the paths were ok for strollers there so thank you! defo going to get some cash in the next few days thank you both! x
