Activities/Toys/Gifts

Has anyone got any recommendations on activities, toys or gifts for their toddlers? I’m thinking of things that promote independent play or require my limited input if I’m busy with baby

Wooden beads and laces to make patterns on like necklace making but for littles. These can also be used to help with learning colours, building patterns, counting as well and fine motor skills and are generally a very independent task that take concentration so usually keeps then busy for a while. Also something you can interact with them with while seeing to baby. As you can talk about colours, compliment patterns etc

@Kornelija my son loves his tonies box! I’ve got him 2 new paw patrol tonies from his baby brother, will check out your other recommendations. Thank you

@Jessica thank you. I’ve ordered a pre school busy book (although it hasn’t arrived, so not sure how good it is) but it has lots of counting, identifying colours etc which I’m happy to do with him, I’m hoping he will sit nicely beside me (🥴 toddler boy) whilst I feed baby

I’ve found my 2.5 year old really likes water painting books and the whiteboard books that follow the shapes of letters etc. The water painting books and mats are ideal as it’s only water so I don’t feel stressed if it spills and then she likes to show me what she drew or discovered. The whiteboard books she loves to follow the lines and then ‘clean them’ and she does that sitting next to me which is handy x
