Purposely Gagging

My baby is about 7.5 months old and I swear he purposely gags or makes the noise for my attention. He knows how to make himself cough, whenever I fake cough he will fake cough back and he thinks its so funny which it is 😂 But now he will gag and gag to the point where he will throw up whenever my husband is trying to rock him to sleep at night. It’s like he knows if he throws up I will go in the room to help. Then he will smile and be all happy at me. Does anyone have experience with this🥲he never gags or throws up for me.
