Congratulations on the new baby! The first group I went to with my first baby was the Bright Start new parents group. It’s set up so that you meet the same group of mums/parents and babies over a few weeks so you get to know each other. Each week has a topic of focus so the session leader shares some thoughts about, for example, feeding or sleep and encourages you all to talk about it while the babies feed/sleep/wriggle on a mat. I’m not sure if that’s the kind of think you had in mind, but it’s a good option while your baby is still so tiny. https://directory.islington.gov.uk/kb5/islington/directory/advice.page?id=ucmqBoQpjB4
I find that people are usually very considerate about illness and germs when they know small babies will be there. If they’re unwell, they’ll skip that week. That’s less true as they get bigger, though. Toddler groups are full of sneezes and snot!
Yes, now is quite sensitive time for viruses and you have a newborn so easy to catch anything , I would wait at least for his immunisation vaccines
@Nastia oh when do they have this?
@Lauren Thankyou!! Ahhhh great sounds good! Thankyou x
@Hannah 8 weeks, 12 weeks and 16. I think you will get a reminder from your GP x
I would wait until after Christmas, there are too many viruses around this time of year and your baby is fragile ATM
