School holidays

How do people who both parents work from home deal with the kids being off ? I’m currently training for my new WFH job and my partner already works from home but I just feel awful for kids who are stuck in the house and will be the whole holidays, we don’t have a safe fenced in garden either so can’t even let them outside

Can you not take some annual leave between you for at least a day or two? We both work full time but are really lucky because our shifts work around each other for childcare, so it's only Friday where we either take annual leave or he goes to my mums for a few hours

I can’t at the moment because I’m training and he is saving his holiday for Christmas as he hasn’t been with his company for a year yet, we don’t really have anyone around us who can help either

Local holiday club or childminder who can offer holiday childcare

Holiday club, if you claim UC you can claim it back if ofsted registered x

I’ve always used sports holiday clubs, you can use tax free childcare to pay for them x
