Chances are it will be fine but deffo call 111 now for some advise

If you live in the UK I’d call nhs 111 straight away or head to the nearest A&E, it would only be worse if she was adversely affected by a triple dose x

Don’t panic. As above, give 111 a call for some advice. You may need to take baby girl to see someone to be monitored for a bit. Also, be kind to yourself. I hope everything is ok for you both xx

For reassurance - I had a friend that accidentally gave a double dose and her son was fine. She had to watch out for vomiting, stomach pain etc but her son was old enough to communicate these things. Not sure on the age of your daughter but I would always be inclined to be safe and speak to a medical expert. I would start with 111. Though depending on your daughter’s age they will likely say take her to hospital for monitoring anyway. Better to be safe than regret anything. Good luck

Hey guys, I spoke to my mam who reassured me she would be okay. She had just finally fell asleep after being up all night (hence the mix up) so I gave it an hour to see how she was. It’s been 3 hours now and she is bouncing off the walls. Perfectly fine. She is almost 3 which is when the dose goes up from 2.5 to 5. I gave her 7.5 🤦🏻‍♀️. But I am keeping an eye on her for anything that’s different to her sickness.

I know it’s too late now but reading the Nurofen box, 1-3 years the dose is one 5ml dose 3 times in 24 hours, if I’m reading your message right, you only gave 7.5ml which is only 2.5ml over recommend dose? Unless it’s a different brand/strength of course!! Anyway hope she’s okay 💗
