@Rebecca we go to one of these at our library every Monday but it’s not on in half term 🤦🏼♀️
I know this may not be the case near you, but by me local church groups still run during the holiday. If you have an M&S near you, on a Tuesday morning 9.30-11.30 you get free cake if you buy a coffee and they set it up so you can connect with other local mums xx
@Emily thank you I’ll check for church groups. There is an M&S by me but I don’t think they run this there, not sure why. Actually just managed to find on the Facebook page that they do do the coffee morning. Only thing is from the comment section it looks like most people that go are going with existing mum friends. I don’t need to go to another ‘meet new mum friends’ thing where I end up just talking to my baby because everyone already knows each other. Billy no mates over here 👋🏻
If you have a children’s centre nearby they still do free classes over half term. Sometimes I just take a packed lunch for her and go have a coffee somewhere
I know it's a bit obvious/basic but if you have a local park/playground with the enclosed swings and a small slide I'm sure your little one would love it. Mine loves the swings now or if they only have bigger stuff you can go down the slide/on the swings with him on your lap
The library even if classes arent on, just to read books on the mat, swimming or the free musuems
I would say go for it! I went to it this week, and it was right at the end because of my baby’s nap and I didn’t want the chat but everyone was SO nice and chatty and welcoming xx
I've been thinking about taking my little one to a library. Sometimes they'll have sessions on like rhyme time or something x
