Definitely as long as possible. Over a week for sure!
She got her first bath 24 hours after she was born and she will get her first bath after that when she has no umbilical cord
She got a bath at the hospital (she threw up a lot in hospital so she was stinky) and she's had several already at home (she's 2 weeks old) because she spits up a ton 🫠 her umbilical cord has already come off so that has made cleaning her way easier!
My daughter is 3 days old and we are giving her a sponge bath today. She had one in the hospital, but this one is going to be with the soap I’m choosing to use for her. I hate Johnson and Johnson. lol
With our first I think almost 2 weeks, the second we bathed him day 3 and by bathe I mean sponge bath
My baby was born on October 6th and still has not had a bath. We were thinking maybe to do it tonight before bed but honestly my heart is a little bit sad and scared that his head will no longer smell the way it did when he was first born and I love that smell
my baby lost her umbilical cord at 10 days old, we gave her a bath the day after. her skin was extremely dry and flaky so I wanted it to soak in some water and breast milk
Gave him his first bath the day his chord fell off
@Kirsten we use fragrance free soap so they keep smelling like their cute little selves
She’s only 3 days old. Her skin is flakey and dry and it’s starting to crack/scab by her feet so I was wondering if I should just moisturize or give her a small sponge bath.
@Abby I definitely suggest using coconut oil to oil her! I used almond oil and coconut oil on my daughter as an alternative to lotions and moisturizers and her skin has stayed great!
I did sponge baths but you have to wait for their umbilical cord to fall off and then I also had to wait for my sons circumcision to heal so I think it was 14 days before he got a real full body in water bath
Sponge bath 6 days after birth.
The hospital gave our baby his first bath then We gave our baby sponge baths then after the umbilical cord fell off we started giving him a bath every other day ! And the days he didn’t take a bath we did wipe down baths !
We waited 9 days for a sponge bath
