Help! Accidental dairy

My 7 month old was diagnosed with CMPA when she was 3 month after having green poo, blood in stool, straining a lot and a rash. I’ve been dairy free while breastfeeding and she’s been on Aptamil Pepti 1 and completely dairy free for months. Tonight she has been given a pouch of food with cheese in it. I’m really worried, how soon will she have a reaction to it if she’s going to react? Anyone had an experience like this before? I’m beside myself with panic.

I don’t think anything terrible will happen just maybe a rash or a little blood but she didn’t have a ton over a long period of time so just be on a look out but she’ll probably just be a little more fussy

Thank you Gabrielle, hope you’re right 🤞

I would say the fact it wasn’t an anaphylactic reaction before, I would just see what happens. It’s very easily done as it’s not obvious in things like the Ella’s kitchen spag Bol that there’s cheese in it, but if they get itchy maybe some piriton. Our little one had a small chocolate finger as my daughter dropped one & they were ok as it wasn’t a huge amount. X

So my little boy was diagnosed at 6 months, he’s 13 months yet and we haven’t started the milk ladder yet. Last week I accidentally gave him a full 200g baby meal, he ate the lot, and it had milk in it! I felt terrible but he was absolutely fine. He got a couple of hives on his mouth and that’s it. His previous reactions were immediate ige, with full body rashes, sick, bad nappies. So it was quite a good thing that he he didn’t react to it. Hope baby is okay x

Thanks girls, that’s reassuring. It was only half a pouch so I’m hoping her reaction isn’t too bad. Xx

Update - she was fine! 🙈 Thank you so much for your comments, they really settled an over anxious first time mummy last night! ❤️ xx

Aww glad to hear it 🥰. Xx
