Lumps on my breasts breastfeeding

I just had my baby girl 3 days ago and been breast feeding everyday. Today I woke up and my breasts are larger and feel hard with lumps. They hurt really bad, does this go away?

Pump! It’s your milk coming in

Sounds like your milk coming in properly - you’ll likely have an over supply for a week or so and then your baby helps even it out. Feeding is best way to alleviate it or pump to drain the excess. Your boobs are full of milk. After about 12 weeks the hardness stops and they feel normal but still are full x

Pump, you have clogged ducts

Massage the boobs to realese

100% I experienced this EXACTLY. Your milk has just come in and now you need to pump it out. You'll feel way better. Massage the lumps and painful spots while you pump. Hang in there mama! I used ice packs on my boobies too

Have baby feed if possible, otherwise hand express.

Pump, hand express, latch baby, hot shower to get the milk flowing. I would hand express first because there may be still be colostrum in there and a pump won't help move that out of the way because colostrum is thicker than milk. It does go away once you get it flowing and moving. It'll feel weird for a bit and you'll begin to recognize when your breast are full but they won't be that hard forever.
