I didn’t realise you weren’t allowed to have a bath? I had one like 3 or 4 days after giving birth. I was actually told by the midwife at the hospital that sitting in a salt bath is good for the pain and stitches so I that’s what I did. I was all healed up after about a week and a half
@Dana yea same thing, it was recommended to me to do a bath so the muscles would relax a bit when healing after a tear
Oh really?? @Dana how do you know that you’re all healed? Just by looking?
@Laurie well, I can’t actually say I’m healed up because I don’t know for sure, I just assumed. I got my boyfriend to look at it and he said he couldn’t see the stitches anymore but also the pain, tightness and stinging was completely gone by the second week
I was offered a bath hours after giving birth with my episiotomy (opted for a shower instead), so have had the odd bath since then!
Have the bath girl, you’ll be fine x
i had a bath within a few days of having my first. had a second degree tear and stitches, didn't affect my healing in any way! it was blissful😅xx
I had a bath a few hours after- it’s absolutely fine to do so . Early days with open wound no products but now all healed just back to normal bubbles and products 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. It’s more that I cannot make it happen with 2 children around
I’m 6 weeks pp and was told as long as I don’t soak for hours I can have a bath I was told this when I was 3-4 weeks pp but waited until bleeding stopped x and this was told by a consultant in the hospital x
