How does everyone spend their days?

My daughter is now 9 weeks and 2 days old, so she is a little more interactive than before, though this is still the early stages. During the day I mostly sit with her on the sofa watching TV as I don't get enough sleep and thus am very low on energy. I do however try and interact with her and put her in her playpen for tummy time or on her back so I can make faces at her and show her toys and objects. I sometimes put her in the bouncer and rock her until she's had enough. I've got some black and white contrasting cards I show her and I talk to her and make faces at her. Sometimes I dance to music with her in my arms. Apart from that I really am at a loss at what to do with the day, she's only just started being interactive and curious about the world around her but it's still early days so I feel my options are limited with regards to keeping her entertained and interacting with her. How does everyone else on maternity leave spend the days with their babies?

My little boy is 8 weeks tomorrow and I do the exact same. I also go out for a walk with him once a day. It’s good for both of us to get out.. even if I’m out of steam I would still go out for like 10 minutes ☺️

I'm mostly trying to get out of the house for my own sake - walks, meeting friends if possible, just going to read a book in a cafe. My baby is almost 7 weeks, so I'm in a similar boat, but I feel like taking him to new places is pretty good.

I'm still very much in recovery and can't move much (6weeks pp tomorrow with complications). I do exactly the same and won't be able to do much more for a while. Sometimes he just sits and watches the world around him and I do feel guilty but I think it also helps his development as he can stare at what he wants to

With my first, I managed a daily walk, sometimes to the park, sometimes to a cafe or playgroup or church.. just a daily outing. I’m not managing much at the moment with my 5 week old as I can’t walk without pain and sleep has been so hard for both toddler and newborn. 😭

My days sound very similar to yours. I try to get out for a walk but most of the time my baby is lying around watching me do chores. Xx

I also read some books and sing some songs ( my playlist are Disney songs and pregnancy: song for my baby) these are good to introduce more vocabulary into their day to day.
